The essence of a brand is its memorable tagline and a effective punch line, but how does one get it?The story behind the tagline “only vimal” is pretty interesting.
Dhirubhai ambani was briefing the agency about his brand(vimal).He was telling the agency that “only vimal used merino wool”, ”only vimal used modern technology”, “only vimal had most designs” . So the tag “ONLY VIMAL”the tagline was a simple step for the agency but a giant leap for the brand.The brand “THE INDEPENDENT” has got it’s own story, the reason behind the name was from a simple insight that youth hates to be told “what to do and what not to do” hence the name INDEPENDENT. It was handled by the agency Lintas world wide.
